Are you feeling overwhelmed by persistent worry, dread, or panic? Do anxiety and panic attacks feel like they’re dictating your life, limiting your enjoyment and holding you back? You’re not alone, and at Inner Space Therapy, I offer expert support to help you break free and regain control.
Anxiety is a natural emotional response to stress, experienced by everyone at some point. It can range from mild unease to intense feelings of dread or panic.
When we sense something to be afraid of – whether a real physical danger or an imagined insecurity – our brain prepares us for ‘fight or flight’. At its core, anxiety is a protective mechanism, designed to alert us to perceived threats.
Today’s sources of anxiety, such as work pressure, trauma or societal and family expectations, are typically linked to perceived dangers like failure, judgment or criticism.
Anxiety is fundamentally the fear of the unknown, often triggered when we lack trust in ourselves and our ability to navigate the situations around us. When we feel uncertain about how to handle challenges or confront our personal fears, this can spiral into panic and anxiety. The causes of anxiety are unique to each person, so understanding its root causes is essential for addressing it and creating lasting change.
One transformative approach to managing anxiety is shifting how we relate to it. Rather than viewing anxiety as an enemy to fight or ignore, we can reframe it as a messenger, signalling that something within us is out of alignment.
From an early age, many of us are taught to suppress or “push through” anxious feelings, but by embracing anxiety as a natural response, we can start to understand what might be unsettling internally. Approaching anxiety with curiosity rather than fear allows us to learn from it.
Anxiety can also stem from the fear of rejection or disapproval, often rooted in early experiences of emotional neglect or invalidation. When we suppress our authentic feelings and needs in order to avoid rejection, we create an internal conflict.
This conflict arises when our true selves are at odds with the persona or mask we present externally to gain acceptance. As we disconnect from our authentic selves and rely on external validation, anxiety builds because we are out of alignment with our core values and desires, leading to an underlying sense of unease and fear.
Healing this cycle involves reconnecting with a strong sense of ourselves and developing internal validation. By setting healthy boundaries, recognising and honouring our emotions, and learning to trust ourselves, we begin to reduce the anxious need for external approval.
As we move toward internal alignment and self-acceptance, the anxiety tied to validation and rejection diminishes, fostering emotional resilience and self-stability.
Therapy provides a safe and confidential space where you can learn effective strategies to cope with and manage the physical symptoms of anxiety and panic when they arise. This process helps you realise that you can control your anxiety, rather than it controlling you.
Crucially, therapy goes beyond just managing symptoms. It offers a space to discover the underlying triggers of your anxiety. Remember, anxiety is often a symptom of something deeper. By exploring and understanding these root causes, we can work towards lasting change.
If you’re ready to lessen or stop feeling anxious and experiencing panic attacks, I’m here to help. Contact Inner Space Therapy today for a free consultation. Let’s discuss how tailored therapy can empower you to regain control, find inner peace, and live a life free from the limitations of anxiety.
Rupinder KaurTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Nisha brings a really calming and grounded presence to the spaces she holds. After both a masterclass sessions she delivered inside my membership and the Instagram Live we hosted together, what really stood out to me was how empathetic, knowledgeable and emotionally intelligent she is in the way she approaches this work. She has a real ability to explain complex emotional patterns in a way that feels accessible, practical and deeply validating for women, particularly South Asian women navigating people-pleasing, overthinking, self-trust and emotional overwhelm. What I also appreciated was that her work doesn’t stay at surface-level awareness. She focuses on helping women actually understand their patterns and begin implementing real change in their lives. The conversations she facilitated created a lot of reflection and resonance within the community and I know many women saw themselves in the topics we explored together. I’d absolutely recommend Nisha to anyone looking for support around self-trust, emotional patterns and building a healthier relationship with themselves. Preena PatelTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I cannot recommend Inner Space Therapy enough! It has almost been a year since I started this journey with Nisha and the only thing that makes me sad is that I didn't start sooner. Nisha is incredibly attentive and she has expertly helped me identify, pick apart, and rebuild my behavioral patterns. The sessions provide me with a safe space to be raw, explore my mind and thoughts and reconnect with my inner child. I don't think I've ever felt so much like my true self and with every day I am learning to trust myself more! I'm grateful to be going through this experience and have benefited greatly by investing in myself. Priyanka PatelTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Nisha has helped me when I went through a rough time in 2025 with navigating heartbreak, grief and helping me build my confidence and self-worth. She is understanding and makes the sessions fun but also relatable and engaging. BranwenTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. 5 stars isn’t really enough, but it’ll have to do. Nisha has been genuinely incredible. From the start, she created a space where I felt comfortable being honest, even about things I usually struggle to talk about. She listens without judgement, but also knows when to challenge me in a way that actually helps me grow rather than just stay stuck. Over time, she’s helped me understand myself better, manage difficult emotions, and build healthier ways of thinking. I’ve seen a real difference in my wellbeing and how I handle things day to day, which I honestly didn’t expect to this extent. If you’re looking for a therapist who is supportive, insightful, and actually makes a lasting impact, I couldn’t recommend Nisha more. I recommend her over again to many people in my life wanting or needing a therapist. Gurkiran KaurTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I have been gifted the privilege to work with Nisha in a circle space and invited as a guest to her podcast. I absolutely adore Nisha, the energy, love and vibrancy she brings. I admire her clarity in her work and how she brings that forward for clients and colleagues. I enjoy my time spent with Nisha, her honesty and her love for what she does and how she wants to share it. The podcast experience was seamless and she made it a really comfortable and easy experience (especially as someone who is camera shy, this was so reassuring). Working intuitively with Nisha in circle was beautiful too, we were able to share and bounce what we needed to off each other to hold the space. Nisha is a wonderful space holder, absolute natural - her wording and compassion as well as her ability to question without feeling judgement is such a skill. It is a blessing to know and work with her. Hetal TrivediTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I met Nisha, first time for her vision board workshop back in December. It was a thoughtful and well-guided experience. She creates a supportive space to reflect, reset and gain clarity ahead. She also has a calm way of structuring and facilitating, which makes it easy to engage fully with the process. Thank you Nisha for everything that you do. NeshaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I attended Nisha’s vision board workshop and absolutely loved it. It was really fun and inspiring. It made me clear on my goals and the group felt like a safe and supportive space, which made the experience even better. Highly recommend it! Choosing the right therapist is personal, and it’s important that you feel comfortable and understood. My approach is warm, supportive, and tailored to your specific needs. I don’t believe in generic solutions—I take the time to truly understand what’s going on for you and what’s driving the challenges you’re facing.
If you’ve tried therapy before and felt unheard or rushed into quick fixes, know that I work differently. I focus on real, lasting change rather than temporary band-aid solutions. If you’re ready to do the work and invest in yourself, I’d love to explore how we can get you where you want to be.
Many of my clients come to me after feeling let down by previous therapy—whether through the NHS or private therapists who didn’t truly understand their needs. Therapy shouldn’t feel like a one-size-fits-all process, and sometimes quick-fix approaches don’t address the root of the issue.
The difference here is that I work with you as an individual. We’ll look at what’s really happening beneath the surface and create a tailored approach that actually works for you. Sometimes just a few sessions are all you need, and other times, deeper work is needed. Either way, we’ll go at the right pace for you to ensure you see real progress.
This depends entirely on you—some clients feel significant changes in just a few sessions, while others prefer longer-term support. I don’t keep you in therapy for longer than necessary, but I also won’t rush you through a rigid programme.
After our first session, I’ll have a clearer idea of what’s needed to get you where you want to be. We’ll focus on practical, effective strategies so you feel real shifts as soon as possible.
