Inner Space is proud to collaborate with schools, charities and local community groups, all driven by a shared commitment to enhance the mental and physical wellbeing of their students and members.
With a warm and collaborative approach, I work across a variety of modalities - from individual 1-2-1 sessions to tailored groups and workshops for children and young people that support development, empower their abilities and inspire positive change. Through multifaceted approaches, I aim not just to educate, but to cultivate a supportive environment where wellbeing thrives.
Areas of support
I offer support across a variety of areas that schools and community groups may find children struggling with. To name a few these are:
- Mental health worries, such as anxiety, unhelpful thoughts and low moods
- Bullying, cyberbullying and peer pressure
- Academic difficulties or learning needs
- School performance or exams stress
- Social skills and peer relationships
- Family issues, such as divorce or parental conflict
- Self-esteem and body image concerns
- Trauma or Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE)
- Identity issues, including gender, sexuality and cultural worries

By working through a dynamic therapeutic setting, I provide useful tools and strategies to enhance the wellbeing of children and young people, by encouraging individual and group development, as well as collective peer support. I work with children from 8 to 16 years, and offer a variety of different sessions, groups and workshops based on their needs. The benefits are comprehensive and lasting such as:
- Education: Workshops offer opportunities for targeted education on topics such as mental health, emotional regulation, self-agency and resilience, providing children and young people with valuable knowledge and understanding.
- Skill-building: They provide practical tools and strategies for developing essential life skills, such as communication, problem-solving and healthy coping mechanisms, which are crucial for navigating challenges and building resilience.
- Peer support: Groups and workshops create a supportive environment where children and young people can connect with each other who may be facing similar issues, fostering a sense of friendship and mutual support.
- Self-awareness: Workshops encourage self-reflection and introspection, helping children and young people gain insight into their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, and empowering them to make positive changes.
- Empowerment: Children and young people are empowered to take control of their wellbeing, set goals for themselves, make informed decisions and advocate for themselves, promoting a sense of agency and autonomy.
- Coping strategies: Workshops teach practical coping strategies for managing stress, anxiety, and other challenges, equipping children and young people with effective tools for self-care and emotional regulation.
- Prevention: By addressing issues early and providing preventative measures, workshops can help mitigate the risk of more serious mental health problems later in life, promoting long-term wellbeing and resilience.
- Positive impact: Workshops contribute to fostering a positive and supportive culture around mental health, that extends beyond the individual to families, schools and communities.

What are the benefits of tailored support?
I understand that each school and charity has its own unique challenges and requirements, which is why it is so important to creatively tailor workshops and groups. This includes:
- Tailoring to needs: I am able to craft each session, group or workshop to suit the specific needs of schools or charity, ensuring it is both relevant and impactful.
- Engaging workshops: Sessions are fun and dynamic, providing practical skills such as cognitive reframing, thought stopping and emotional regulation techniques that children can use in their everyday lives. The language and tools used are simple, yet easy to remember and effective.
- Comprehensive syllabus: Children learn about common mental health issues, how to support themselves, offering support for others and when to reach out for adult or professional help.
- Real-life scenarios: Through role-playing exercises, children gain confidence in using various techniques in a safe and supportive environment.
- Flexible delivery options: These sessions can be delivered during school time or after school hours. They can also be during school holidays and half term.
- Sessions for parents: Engaging talks and workshops for parents are also offered so that children benefit from holistic support at school and at home.
The importance of supporting the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people from an early age cannot be overstated. This forms the foundation of their development from an early age and will take them far into adulthood.
Prioritising children's wellbeing enables improved overall happiness and success for them across several crucial and interwoven areas of their lives, which is achieved through collaborative efforts and targeted approaches. By implementing effective techniques and therapies, we can all ensure a positive and enriching experience for all children involved.
